Material
Material was originally published as a single-style typeface by
Nicolas Eigenheer with Optimo. It was completely redrawn and
extended into a family of five weights with italics, in
collaboration with him. The design draws on traditional Egyptienne
typefaces and reinterprets them as a contemporary family. It
combines precise curves with punchy presence, carrying
sophistication and elegance across the family while each weight
maintains its own character.
